All companies strive to create assets that can be beneficial during times of need. Hence fixed assets provide stability to the companies and help in solidifying long-term viability.

The other types of assets besides physical are current, intangible, and non-current. Intangible assets for example are patents with value consideration. Current or liquid assets are those that can be easily converted to cash.
